To kick-off its activities in Bosnia and Herzegovina, JASPERS organised a workshop on key aspects of infrastructure project preparation in cooperation with the BiH NIPAC office at the Directorate for European Integration.
The workshop was held on 11-12 December 2019 in Sarajevo and was attended by representatives of the Directorate of European Integration, sectoral Ministries and potential beneficiaries involved in the preparation of projects to be funded by IPA and WBIF.
The event developed around two main sessions: a first day focused on an overview of the project cycle, followed by presentations on key stages of project preparation and implementation; and a second day organized in sectoral interactive workshops focused on key issues and practical experiences from the main infrastructure sectors of interest.
The Networking and Competence Centre presented in details its multi-stakeholders capacity building and knowledge sharing activities under the Networking Platform programme, which are open to all interested participants from the EU28 and IPA countries, as well as examples of targeted capacity building support that could be replicated in the IPA region upon demand.
In 2020, the Networking Platform plans to launch dedicated capacity building activities for the countries in the IPA regions, in cooperation with DG NEAR.
