A follow-up seminar on the climate change related requirements for projects in the 2014-2020 period will be held in Brussels on 12-13 June 2017.

The JASPERS Networking Platform was created to complement JASPERS project advisory operations by implementing knowledge sharing and capacity building activities, as well as fostering dissemination of good practices and exchange of experiences among all EU member states, pre-accession countries and other JASPERS Stakeholders.

The JASPERS Networking Platform is open to relevant authorities from all EU Member States (EU 28), as well as pre-accession Countries.

Three years into the current programming period, experience is developing on how climate change considerations are being included in the preparation and implementation of programmes and projects.

Following up on previous seminars, this event aims to provide further clarifications on the climate change related requirements for major projects and to allow representatives from managing authorities, line ministries and beneficiaries to share their experiences with the implementation of these requirements.

The target audience of the event are Member State authorities dealing with the development of new infrastructure projects, particularly project managers and experts that face challenges in implementing the new climate change related requirements in practice. The workshop may also be of interest to new representatives of Member State authorities who did not attend previous capacity building seminars on climate change.

The event is organised in close cooperation with DG REGIO and DG CLIMA. The seminar will be structured around presentations followed by Q&A sessions.

Participants are encouraged to prepare questions on the topics that will be addressed in the event. In order to identify areas where additional clarifications are needed, participants will be asked to complete a pre-event questionnaire.

Please see the tentative agenda available on this page, more information will be available shortly.
